Vadodara: Chauha Mukesh, a resident of Godhra, Ground Zero from Gujarat Riots 2002, installed a tazley in Moharram even when he prayed near the temple nearby.
Between Hindus and Muslims come to pray in the same place.
It was for the first time this year that Chauhan decided to install the Tazia.
He said that it was located near the Temple of Dewi Amba in the Bhutdi Jhampa area.
Chauhan, who put up a tazley near a temple, began respecting Dargahs at Hussain Tekri in Jaura after his wife Sonalnya was sick about three years ago.
He was cured after a visit to Jaura.
Upon his return he began to meet people who were in a situation like he helped them.
“I spent Rs 4-5 lakh on my wife’s care.
He was treated in the end after a visit to Dargahs in Jaura,” Chauhan said.
He added that he was asked to help others when his wife healed and he vowed to do so without filling money.
“People only have to give any material needed for prayer and for the small place of worship that we made here,” he said.
Chauhan, who took sanitation and drainage worked as a labor, said that the temple was very old.
“I take care of him now.
We hold ganpati, Navratri and other festivals here.
People from all religions are welcome and join the celebration,” he said.
