Vadodara: The body of a 15-year-old boy, who was dragged by a crocodile on the Dhadhar River in Karjan Taluka on October 6, was found in a decomposed country in Padra Taluka on Friday.
The body of the boy who was identified as Vijay Mali was found about 5 km in downstream in Sadad Village in the river by locals.
The police said that the body was found in a state that was very unraveled with the head and one foot lost.
However, the identity was verified by a sign of injury and clothing in Mali’s body.
The body was sent to the Health Center in Padra for postmortem examination and accidental death cases registered at the Padra Police Station.
Mali, a class VIII student, was dragged by a crocodile in Pingalwada Village in Karjan Taluka when he took his goat to graze on October 6.
One of the goats was trapped in the river and when Mali tried to save him, the crocodile pulled him into the river.
Mali Pravin’s father who had marked it, lifted an alarm but in a minute the reptile had disappeared into the deep waters with the boy.
