Patna: Get out of force for more than four and a half years, the RJD head then Prasad, and former Health Minister Tej Pratap Yadav on Saturday ventured in the production and trade of rice, multigrain flour, and some items that can be eaten under ‘LR brand.
LR stands for past Prasad and Rabri Devi, both parents of Tej and former head of the Bihar minister.
Formally launched its products on the occasion of the Panchami Basant during the function held at its official residence at 2, Strand Road here, Tej said he created a LR Rice and Multigrains Private Limited platform with the aim of helping farmers and giving work to young people.
The house in 2, Strand Road, has been allocated to TEJ because it becomes MLA.
MLA both times RJD, Tej also said his new company will reach Bihar farmers, buy their grains at reasonable prices and provide good returns to them without intermediaries to come to their path.
He also said his company would buy wheat, rice, corn, millet, jaggery and several other Agri products directly from farmers, and would bring it to consumers.
“Our theme is’ Apna Upjoo, Apna Khao Aur Apna Kamao (cultivate yours, eat you and fortunately you)”, said Tej, who manages the company’s director.
Responding to a query, Tej said the Prime Minister of Narendra Modi, during the last assembly poll, has promised to give work to 19 Lakh youths in Bihar.
But they (BJP leaders) do not fulfill their promises.
“My company will provide work to young people truly.
Many young people will get a job at our food processing plants and packaging,” he said.
Tej has involved Patnakart Agro, a Bihar-based Agritech platform, to get Desi granules from farmers and market it to consumers.
“When health experts advise people to return to their roots, our trip is a small step in this direction.
We have bought famous rice brands such as Katarni, Basmati, and various rice varieties from the Shahabad region.
Some other grains are forgotten like ‘ With Chawal Train ‘, Bajra, Kerao and Kurthi, will also be purchased and sold, “said Implementing Director Patnakart Abhinav Das to Ti on Saturday.
Previously it was announced that Mrs.
Tej and the former CM Rabri Devi would launch products from LR Rice and Multigrain.
But he did not appear at the launch site.
TEJ was the Minister of Health Bihar from November 2015 to July 2017 at the Nitish Kumar-LED Grand Alliance Government, but came out of power after Nitish resigned as CM in July 2017 and turned to NDA.
TeJ previously launched the incense stick business in July last year.
