Hyderabad: Excise officials in Jogulamba Gadwal have written to the authorities to stop Rythu Bandhu’s financial assistance to two after finding marijuana cultivation in their land.
Gadwal Excise officials said they found marijuana in the number of surveys 16/3 and 16/4 in Devabanda village in Ieja Mandal and cases were booked with four people.
A report was handed over to the district agricultural officers to suspend Rythu Bandhu’s financial allowance to Amba Swamy and Siddiah, a resident of Thaikunta, for processing marijuana.
In other cases of marijuana, the authorities in Sangareddy requested the PD Law provisions to send drug vendors to be imprisoned on Tuesday.
Shekhar Raju Divakar and his driver Stalin Raju was previously arrested in Sangareddy while carrying 240 kg of dried marijuana from Visakhapatnam to Mumbai in 2021.
