Hyderabad: The dose of booster drive in Telangana must go without obstacles because new data shows the state private hospital has purchased the third highest number of doses – 51.6 lakh – only trailing Maharashtra and Karnataka in the country.
In other interesting trends, Telangana – with only 66,000 doses were wasted from 4.5 doses of the managed crore – ranked between the top four in terms of the low number of doses wasted.
According to experts, although a little doubt and negligence in parts of a very small population, these two trends indicate that regular citizens will be interested in receiving a booster dose.
“There is a good public-private partnership in the state.
With Hyderabad being the center of a private hospital, it is assumed that high procurement by private hospitals will run far in fighting Covid-19,” said Dr.
Subodh Kandmutan, Director of Health Management Center, College Staff Administrative (ASCI).
Telangana follows Maharashtra (1.5 dose of crore) and Karnataka (57.43 lakh doses) with most Covid-19 vaccines purchased by private hospitals in mid-December this year.
Telangana surpassed Delhi (30.98 lakh) in the case of procuring a dose of private hospitals.
Sources in private hospitals say while guidelines about the dose of preventive measures will be released, even if there is a high demand, the dose will be available in the state and those who can afford it will be able to take it without having to worry about availability.
