Terrible truth: child sex abuse in the Catholic Church

Paris: The Catholic Church has been repeatedly rocked by a child sex harassment scandal for the past three decades.
Independent investigations on Tuesday were found 216,000 victims of French scholars between 1950 and 2020.
This is the latest in a series of landmark reports and investigations that have helped raise “silence veil” around evil.
After a series of scandals, the Australian Government established a royal commission, a top-level investigation into institutional child sex abuse.
The commission said in February 2017 that most harassment occurred in the churches, with seven percent of Catholic priests accused of abusing children in Australia between 1950 and 2010.
It was said that the suspicion was almost never investigated.
It was found that 4,444 allegations of child sex abuse incidents have been reported to the Church Authority.
In some dioceses, more than 15 percent of priests are perpetrators.
The Commission also heard the testimony of former Vatican finance head, Cardinal George Pell, who was found guilty in 2018 from Choirboys who abused sexually in Melbourne in the 1990s.
Pell – who had become anti-corruption Pope Francis’ Tsar – was released from prison in 2020 after the court canceled his belief.
In June, Pope Francis rejected the offer by Reinhard Marx’s top German bishop to resign from the “institutional and systemic failure of the church” in handling child sex harassment in Western City Cologne.
It revealed that 314 minors, most of the boys under the age of 14, were sexually misused there between 1975 and 2018.
Conference studies of a German Bishop in 2018 previously revealed sexual harassment extending by German scholars.
It was found that 1,670 pastors had carried out several types of sexual attacks on 3,677 minors, most of the boys were under 13 years, between 1946 and 2014, while saying this was almost certain.
Most perpetrators have not been punished and the church provides compensation for cases per case, without transparency.
In 2002, Boston Globe revealed a large scale of sex abuse in children in Boston’s diocese and efforts by Catholic hierarchies to cover them.
Paper investigation is the subject of the “Spotlight” Oscar winner film.
In 2004, a church commission published a report that requires the pastor to report suspicion of sexual violence.
According to lawyers, more than 11,000 complaints have been submitted to the US by the victims of the priests.
The diocese has paid hundreds of millions of dollars outside the court settlement.
The victim association said that this payment allowed the church to escape justice.
The large jury investigation into Pennsylvania’s diocese in 2018 exposes the systematic cover by the church of abuse by “more than 300 Predator Priests”.
More than 1,000 children were quoted.
Donald Wuerl’s cardinal, accused of hanging up, resigning.
In 2019, Pope Francis approached the former American Cardinal Cardinal Theodore McCarrick at the first for the Church.
Some of the dioceses have since opened their archive, revealing that hundreds of priests have been suspected of abusing minors.
Allegations of large-scale sex crimes in Irish Catholic institutions returned a few decades, with an underage number of victims estimated at nearly 15,000 between 1970 and 1990 alone.
Some bishops and priests accused of covering abuse have been punished.
The official Ryan commission report in 2009 found children harassment extended in the institutions managed by Catholics between the 1930s and the 1970s.
It is said that the orphanage and industrial schools managed by the Church are a place of fear, neglect and endemic sexual abuse.
The 2009 Murphy report to Dublin’s Archdiocese diocese said that between 1975 and 2004, the church had “obsessive” hidden abuse.
And after another very important report in 2011, to Cloyne’s diocese, the Vatican remembered the ambassador after the Premier Ireland accused him of blocking the investigation into the abuse of sex by the priests.
