Hyderabad: Sales of Liquor New Year period is expected to touch RS 1,000 Crore’s Highest Record over the coming days.
Last year, in run-up to the new year, the sale of liquor touched Rs 759 Crore in the last four days in December.
This year, the government has given permission to 404 new stores and 159 new bars as part of their new policy, a step that will help increase its income.
The displacement to provide more permits is expected to help the state reach an annual revenue target of Rs 30,000 through the sale of liquor.
Liquor for the New Year period has been sent to the depot in the district and in the city.
The state has experienced an increase in income for liquor for many years, producing Rs 2,046 Crore in December 2019 to 2,216 wine stores throughout the state.
More than Vijay Dasami last year, the country saw sales of Rs 2,623 Crore in October while it continued to get Rs 2,765 Crore in December 2020.
Strong sales continued to this year, with reaching 2021 recorded Rs 2,633 Crore.
Last year, on December 31, 2.2 lakh, the case of a foreign liquor (IMFL) was sold along with a Beer Lakh case.
This month, 34 lakh cases of IMFL and 27 lakh beer have been sold so far.
“The company offers our trip abroad and gifts if we make good sales,” said the owner of a liquor store.
According to sources, the State Excise Department anticipates that revenue from sales around the new year will be in the range of Rs 1,000 Crore to Rs 1,200 Crore.
This month, 34 lakh cases of IMFL and 27 lakh beer have been sold so far.
