Thane: a 72-year-old Badlapur resident, Kishan Jadhav, on Wednesday pierced Sujata in-law (48) with sharp weapons on a property dispute and then ended his life by guiding him and hanging himself.
Sujata was undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
Police said Kishan and Sujata had compiled for property problems for years.
On Wednesday, they had an argument and in raising Kishan stabbed him on the chest and head.
Sujata bloody went to the hospital.
The police suspected that Kishan panicked, locked the flat from inside and burned it.
He then tried to hang himself with a nylon rope.
In paying attention to the smoke out of the flat, the neighbors call the fire department and police.
The fire brigade was delayed because of the narrow access point, said the Head of the Fire Extinguisher Bhagwat Sonawane.
Kishan was taken to the hospital but was declared “BR-Hove Dead”.
Senior Inspector D Gawade said, “The initial probe showed that the incident occurred because of property and human disputes died of weakness.”
