Thane: The city crime branch caught a man who came out with a guarantee and escaped for six years.
He is Maharashtra’s control over the organized crime law, 1999 (MCOCA) accused.
The defendant has been identified as Mahesh Hegde, 40 which is a resident of Shilphata, Shilgaon near Mumbra.
“In 2008, Mahesh Hegde and his four mercy was arrested for their involvement in the 65 cases of home solving and then McOca was summoned to them.
They were arrested and tried in the case after that Hegde ensured guarantees and escaped since 2015,” said a crime branch officer.
Hegde is a habitual actor and tries to avoid catching by often changing the address so that it cannot be found anywhere.
When the defendant did not attend the court date, the court had carried the proclamation process to him below the 82 CRPC section.
According to the direction of Ashok Morale, the commissioner of additional crime, the Crime branch began the hunt accused of escaping.
The police received a tip-off that the defendant would come to a certain location in the Kanamwar Nagar area in Vikhroli on Saturday.
A police officer invaded the place and the defendant was intercepted and taken to Thane’s crime branch.
