Kalyan: Titwala police on Thursday arrested a man for allegedly killing his brother’s wife over the property dispute and made him look like a suicide case.
Accused of being arrested identified as Suresh Trimbak Waghe.
He is a resident of Umbharni Village in the Titwala District of Thane District.
The police said that on February 6, they received information that one Dhrupa Waghe ended his life by hanging himself in his house.
The body was then sent for post mortem and an accidental mortality report was recorded.
An official said that during the probe, the local residents, and relatives of the deceased, gathered doubts that Suresh might have killed Drupda over property disputes.
Acting lead, when the police team roasted Suresh, he claimed to have killed Drupda by strangling him.
The police said that after Drupda’s husband’s death, he lived in a house next to Suresh and both had disputes over property in the family.
