Thane: The Thane Court session has sentenced a 82-year-old man for the persecution of 10-year-old school students and sentenced him five years in prison.
The defendant, Shivram Patkar was punished by the special protection of children from the judge of sexual violation (Pocso), Kavita Shirbhate who also imposed a fine of RS 5,000 in a command that was said earlier this month.
The Special Public Prosecutor’s Office Vivek Kadu told the court that it was on the day that determines October 12, 2018 at around 17:30 when the victim came out of school, the defendant came from behind and touched it inappropriately in the Ghodbunder road area.
The victim complained to his father standing outside the school to pick him up.
Seeing his father who was accused of escaping from the scene, the court was told.
Subsqeunted, a violation registered in the persecution of Indian criminal codes and sections 7 and 8 of the Pocso Law, 2012 at Kasarawadavali Police Station.
As many as ten witnesses testified in court who nailed the defendant along with CCTV footage as additional evidence.
