Vadodara: How many covid-19 patients were treated at the hospital in Vadodara? Seeing the health bulletin released by Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) brings a sense of relief with lower hospitalization numbers.
However, if someone checks the Covid-19 dashboard on the VMC website, high inpatient numbers do indeed increase the level of anxiety.
On Saturday night, the Civic’s body health bulletin stated that 264 patients were hospitalized in the city and district.
Instead, the Civic Body Dashboard showed 551 Covid-19 beds were occupied at the City Hospital.
Inpatient numbers given in daily health bulletins are almost half of what is reflected by the corporate website.
Incompatibility is not limited to the total number of inpatients.
Went with the VMC dashboard of 551 Covid-19 beds occupied on Saturday night, 33 ICU beds were occupied by patients who needed ventilator support, 57 ICU beds were occupied by patients without ventilators.
At the same time, 187 patients were those who needed a temporary oxygen support for 274 beds occupied by mild symptomatic patients.
In contrast, the VMC health bulletin shows 264 inpatient care where 15 ventilators needed in the ICU, 38 ICU beds do not require ventilator support, 94 required oxygen support while 117 is a mild symptom case.
Incompatibility in the number of inpatients has been going on for a long time now.
Toi has a record one week from the data released on the dashboard immediately after the Civic body released his health bulletin.
When asking, VMC officials said that differences in the two platform data arose because the health bulletin had a cut-off time while the data in the dash was updated by the hospital in real time.
“The numbers reflected in the dashboard are only indications.
Because the numbers in the dash are updated by the hospital once or two times like that will definitely occur,” said the VMC (health) medical officer Dr.
Devesh Patel.
But a private hospital administrator told TOI that even if the hospital renewed data in real time, it could not lead to a large incompatibility in numbers.
Patel believes that the dashboard also reflects careful hospitalization of patients who do not require acceptance.
“There are many who only need home isolation but eventually getting hospitalized,” he said.
“If that’s the problem, health bulletins must also reflect hospitalization hospitalization,” said another doctor, with the terms of anonymity, adding that the city today did not witness the type of inter-district movement from Covid-19 patients who were seen during the second wave.
