Kalyan: On Friday, a labor contractor was found hanging in gymnasium three days after the owner locked it and three others inside, demanded that they finish working before he took it out.
Bashir Shaikh, Senior Inspector of the Kolsewadi Police Station said, “On the basis of the main postmortem report, we have ordered the owner of the gymnasium under the reduction of suicide and to separate them.” The defendant, Vaibhav Puriab, allegedly locked the deceased Poonma Chaudhari (24) contractor and three employees in the lower gymnasium to complete the work at the inauguration.
At the command of Poonma, Cholaram Worker Chaudhari (22), Ramesh Chaudhari (22) and Gogaram Chaudhari (24) fled through the window on the first day itself, police said.
Poonma decided to keep returning and finishing work.
The workers told police that Puriab had defeated Poonma.
They suspect that Poonma was killed.
Kolsebadi police said Postmortem showed Poonma died of suicide.
Cholaram, who complained in this case, said that Poonma had done the work of Empire Gymnasium fitness furniture.
Parab demanded that the contractor returned Rs 1 Lakh that he had paid for the job.
According to the police, Parab said he would recover money by selling PoonMa’s kidneys.
Cholaram said they did not tell anyone about the incident.
On Friday night, they learned from the architect that Poonma was found hanging.
Kin Poonma on Saturday demanded that Parab be ordered for murder.
They refused to take the body and asked for the second autopsy at the JJ Hospital, since the first done in Kalyan without telling them.
