Letter: A 15-year-old boy died after Iron Girder fell to him when he played near the Metro Rail project location in Ni Nal’s region on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Akhtar Afsar Shaikh.
Athwa police have registered cases of unintentional deaths and are investigating further.
According to the police, Akhtar lived near the project location and played with his friends when the accident occurred.
Suddenly, one of the iron girders from many places on the site fell to him.
Other children played with Akhtar told others who took him to the nearest hospital where the doctor’s duty declared him to die before entering.
After this incident, the locals gathered and shouted at gross negligence by the Metro Rail project contractor.
