Jaipur: The Adani Group will take over the operation of Jaipur International Airport from Sunday night.
Because the Union cabinet has agreed to operate, develop, and maintain it for the next 50 years, the Indian Airport Authority (AAA) released by the award letter to the company last year.
Over the past two months, Adani officials have observed operations at the airport.
Infrastructure developed in the past five years has not left a lot to do private operators even though officials claim that in the coming years, they can develop the third terminal.
A total of 167 AAI employees will also be absorbed by the Adani Group.
Director Jaipur Airport JS Balhara said, “We submit the complete airport to M / S International Airport Adani Jaipur Ltd.
with excellent conditions with the latest world-class infrastructure.
At present, this airport has sufficient capacity but I believe in 4 to 5 years Down, they may need to develop terminal 3 depending on the market situation.
ATC & CNS services will still be provided by AAI.
“There may be provisions for the entry of limited vehicles and bound time on the airport terrace.
There are provisions to develop terminal-3 by groups in existing airport areas.
Authority expects things to be a little expensive at the airport with the development of infrastructure facilities.
Except for air traffic control (ATC) and communication, navigation & supervision (CNS), everything will be operated by the Adani Group.
In accordance with the tender conditions, the Group must pay Rs 174 for the departure of each passenger and arrival for domestic operation and RS 348 for each passenger traveling from and to international destinations once the company takes over next year.
