Mangaluru: The head of various groups of Yakshagana from Dakshina Kannada, led by BJP’s art and culture, submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner K v Rajendra on Tuesday, looking for exemption restrictions on the curfew for Yakshagana.
Dakshina Kannada BJP Regency President Sarapady Ashok Shetty said that restrictions on the curfew will affect the Yakshagana show in this district.
“District administration must extend the dead night deadlines from 10pm to 12 in the morning for Yakshagana.
The artist is in trouble because of the pandemic and locking in the past two years.
Professional artists and their families have suffered a financial crisis when the Yakshagana program is prohibited during locking.
The night had been put in place during the Yakshagana season just started.
Some of the previous books have been canceled.
As a result, more than 900 artistes from 30 groups will be unemployed, “Shetty said.
