Mysuru: The revenue department has revensed the previous order Tasking Munish Moudgil, Commissioner Survey, Settlement and Land Note, to investigate accusations of encroachment leveled with former minister and senior JD (s) MLA.
The responsibility of surveying land, allegedly breaking-breaking, has now been entrusted to Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru and Mandya.
Both DCs can choose the officials they consider suitable for the job, and submitting the report.
Mahesh District Minister and Mysuru Somashekar have opposed Moudgil investigating the accusation.
However, Moudgil has shown that the Mysuru Regional Commissioner (RC) CG Prakash has failed to investigate all the accusations flattened to Mahesh, and only focus on the land that symbolizes in a convention center owned by former family members.
Mysturu DC Bagadi has been asked to see allegations of enrichment of survey numbers on Keragalli, Yadahalli, Dattagalli and Kasabu in MySuru, while Mandya Counterpart will investigate accusations of encroachment in Belagola.
According to orders issued by the Deputy Minister of Revenue, DC has been asked to lead the Probe team and submit their investigation report in three weeks.
They have been authorized to get the required documents from all government agencies Deputy Director of Land Note, Mandya B G Umesh, Sujay Kumar and Lohith TK, each of his colleagues from the Tumakuru District and Davanagere, are members of the other committee.
The committee has now been disbanded, however, the MLC and Senior BJP leader Adorooru H Vishwanath has defended Mudgil.
“I did not oppose the probe itself.
But Munish Moudgil did not have the authority to order such an investigation.
That’s why I oppose it.
DC is a government property custodian, not a land record commissioner,” Mahesh told Toi.
