New Delhi: Audi German car maker on Wednesday launched the first member of the new family of the concept vehicle – Audi Skysphere Concept, which is an electric power conversion, two doors based on tomorrow’s design.
Roadster illustrates the brand vision for future progressive luxury segments, where the interior becomes an interactive space and platform vehicle for charming experience.
The concept of the Audi Skysphere will make public debut on August 13, 2021, as part of Monterey car weeks – at the legendary Fairway from the Peabble Beach golf course.
The Audi Skysphere concept is designed for two different driving experiences: Grand Touring Experience and Sports Experience.
This utilizes spectacular technical details – wheelbase variables.
Electric motors and advanced mechanisms with body components and frames that slide into each other make it possible to vary the wheelbase itself and the length of the car exterior of 250 millimeters.
At the same time, the Vehicle Ground Clearance is adjusted to 10 millimeters to increase comfort and driving dynamics.
With a touch of a button, the driver can take advantage of their freedom and choose their own driving experience – whether they drive their own e-roadster 4.94 meters in “sports” mode with reduced wheelbase, while the rear wheel steering ensures that the vehicle remains very agile despite the dimensions.
Or they can choose to wire in GT 5.19 meters in autonomous “Grand Touring” driving mode while enjoying the sky and scenery, maximum foot space, and the services offered by the digital ecosystem integrated smoothly.
In this mode, the steering wheel and pedal moves to an invisible area; The feeling of space in the concept car opened the real realm for a sporty conversion.
Meanwhile, the Audi Skysphere automatically oversees roads and traffic with its sensor system and encourages its residents safely to their destination.
Similar to how the interior design offers a new contemporary interpretation of luxury, digitization, and ecosystems that open the level of freedom that has never happened before.
An electric motor is positioned on a powerful rear axle responsible for sending power to the Audi Skysphere wheel.
A total of 465 kilowatt power and 750 Newton Meters torque have an easy time with roadster, which only weighs around 1,800 kilograms.
The weight distribution of around 60 percent on a powerful rear axle produces sufficient traction and acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in just four seconds, if needed.
The battery capacity is estimated to be more than 80 kWh, providing a car range of more than 500 kilometers in accordance with the WLTP standard, at least in Economical GT mode.
