City: A 6-month-old girl was killed after her father allegedly threw it with anger for saliva with his wife in a village in the district of Baran Rajasthan, police said Thursday.
The incident was late on Tuesday night in Arniya Village which fell under the Atru police station.
The girl’s body was handed over to her family after postmortem Wednesday and a murder case was submitted against her father, Pawan Sahariya, who had been detained because it was interrogated on Tuesday, they said.
However, during the initial investigation on Wednesday, it was found that the girl fell from her mother’s arm during the battle between the couple, Deputy Supervisor of the Police (DSP) Sheojiram JAT said.
Earlier this week, Sahariya’s wife left her house and went to her father’s place in Nahargarh after fighting while their two-year-old son and six-month daughter, Arushi, lived with father, DSP said.
The woman returned on Tuesday night to get children when another battle erupted between the couple.
Sahariya won the arms of his mother’s arm and threw it on the floor, the officer said, adding a sustainable fatal injury to his head and die in place.
The case below part 302 of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) was submitted against Sahariya in the complaints received from his wife.
After completion of the formality of his arrest on Thursday, he would be produced before the court on Friday, Station House Officer (SHO) Ramkishan Godara.
