Brussels: The prosecutor to Belgium has opened an investigation into a deadly flood that destroyed several cities this month and left 37 people died in the country.
The Prosecutor’s Office in Liege City said in a statement on Wednesday that an investigative judge was appointed to lead the investigation to check whether there was a basis for collecting anyone with unaware murders with treatment failure or precautions.
In the midst of dissatisfaction between thousands of residents affected by floods, Belgian political parties earlier this week asked the appointment of the parliamentary commission to investigate disasters.
Residents of the city near Liege who were flooded after the Vesdre River spilled its banks almost two weeks ago, also called for independent investigations.
Many residents suspect that human handling errors from the river system strengthen flooding.
Some specialists in hydrology have suggested that reducing the surface of the water in the main vesdre dam after the fortune teller that issues the weather warnings will prevent a lot of flood damage in the nearby cities.
Germany also experienced a massive flood, and the total death in both countries exceeded 210.
