WASHINGTON: Biru Biru Jeff Bezos demanded the US government for NASA’s decision to provide a $ 2.9 billion Lander Marine contract to SpaceX Elon Musk.
The blue suits were filed in the US court of federal claims on Friday “challenging proposal evaluations that violated the law and inappropriate NASA,” the company said in court courts.
Last month, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) spread with Aeronautics and national space administration for his decision to choose the Lander Lunar provider, rejecting blue protests.
The original blue lawsuit remains under the seal.
NASA must submit a response to the challenge on October 12.
Blue Origin and Dynetic Defense Contractors argue that NASA is needed to make many awards.
Gao said “denied the protest argument that NASA acted incorrectly in making one award to SpaceX.” Blue, rocket company founded by Amazon.com Inc.
billionaire Bezos, said earlier it was still convincing that there was a “fundamental problem” with NASA’s decision, and that Gao could not overcome it “due to limited jurisdiction.” Blue Origin said it will continue to advocate for two providers immediately because they believe that to be the right solution.
NASA, who did not immediately comment on the blue lawsuit, said in July that “Gao’s decision would allow NASA and SpaceX to build a timeline for the first landing on the moon in more than 50 years.” SpaceX did not immediately comment on Monday.
NASA has been looking for a proposal for spacecraft that will bring astronauts to the surface of the moon under its artemis program to restore humans to the moon for the first time since 1972.
In April, NASA received a contract to build a spacecraft as early as 2024.
Blue origin has argued that NASA Give spacex unfair profits by letting it revise the price.
Bezos has offered to cover up to $ 2 billion in the cost of NASA if the US space agency was awarded the blue origin of the Lunar landing contract.
