The body of a man missing since Jan 18 was found in a drain

Greater Noida: A lost man on January 18 was found dead in the sewer outside Yamuna City Gaur on Friday.
The police said the man’s son had filed a complaint lost on January 22 which stated that his father was upset and had left home without telling anyone.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Bittu Kumar, a resident of Rabupura.
“Sonu Kumar said his father was upset on something and had left home on January 18 without telling anyone.
When he did not return, the family began looking for him but could not find it,” said a senior officer of the Rabupura Police Station.
Following complaints, missing reports were submitted and the team was formed to find Bittu.
“On Friday night, we received a call from the Owner of the Ayush gas station in the Mirzapur area where he told him that a body had been found in the nearest channel Gaur Yamuna City Society after which team was sent to the place,” the officer added.
The body was identified as Bittu and family members from the deceased were told.
Based on complaints, a case has been registered under the Section 306 (Suicide Reduction) IPC.
“The body was handed over to family members and the last ritual was carried out on Saturday,” the officer said.
