Prasion Dwivedi, HR (aware), said they received information from NGOs, Bandhua Mukti Morcha, that 41 construction workers and their family members were locked up at the project site for more than two months.
“A team was formed and the project site was looking for.
41 workers, including 14 women and children, was found to work there.
The workers said they did not want to stay there and asked us to send them home.
They said they were only given Rs 100 -200 once since they started working there, “he added.
This site was sought on Thursday by a team from the Surajpur police station along with officials from the Ministry of Manpower and the District Administration.
On Friday night, 41 workers and their family members – everything from Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh – sent home.
“Their statement was recorded.
They alleged that company officials would not let them leave the project location together.
Only one person is allowed to come out at once.
The release certificate they prepared and they were sent to their village,” Dwivedi said.
Gorana Nirmal Bandhua Mukti Morcha, who told the administration of workers on September 21, said the workers had come to the city about three months ago and were promised work at the construction site by private contractors, Mahesh Yadav.
“The contractor took his commission and disappeared.
The workers were made to widen for 12 hours every day.
After a month, when they searched for wages, they were told that they should not ask for money because they were given food and residence on the project site.

One of the workers, Dharmendra, contacted the National Campaign Committee for the Eradication of Labor Bound, which was held by Gorana.

Chandan Tiwari, the project site in charge, denied the allegations.

Dwived said Migsun Cmd, Sunil Miglani, has been ordered under various parts of the Labor Law Bonded, 1976, following complaints by conscious Tehsildar.
“They said they would only respond to court with proof.
It is true that some cases are motivated.
Builder’s argument will be seen after this case is heard and the suspicious element will be examined,” he added.
