Rajkot: The Stolen Wave Rider Buoy (WRB) which was installed near the beach in Somnat was restored on Thursday with the help of the police.
WRB – Floating devices that send real time information about sea wave action – installed by the Institute of Fisheries Technology Center (CIFT) in 2019.
The police recovered the device, which was found in a damaged condition, from a man who was damaged, from a man from Veraval.
According to officials, WRB was installed near Somnath Temple with the Association with the National Indian Center for Sea Information Services (Incois).

These institutions broadcast real time data to fishermen phones and are very helpful in maintaining the lives and nature of fishermen.
Kumar Jha, scientists are responsible for CIFT, called theft.
“People who steal do not have instruments about the instrument.
We have labeled the instrument as a government property.
It has other details to like who must be contacted if someone finds an instrument.
We ask people to support us because of this instrument for the benefit of the local community,” said Jha.
Data collection work Institute will be hampered due to damage to the instrument.
A team from Hyderabad was assigned to fix it.
The sources informed that in the past this instrument had floated to Okha near the Pakistani border and was located and was taken back with the help of the coast guard.
