The Cabinet decided to establish 28 new fast special track courts

ThiruvananThapuram: The cabinet on Wednesday has decided to arrange as many as 28 special trek special trects to handle all cases being registered in the state under the Pocso Law.
With the latest addition, there will be as many as possible 56 tracks of fast trials in the state to handle Pocso cases.
The cabinet also decided to provide sanctions on posts and appoint the power of staff needed in the same pattern as in the Pocso court quickly in the state.
Post district judges, senior officers and bench officers will be created in this court.
In addition, the secret assistant post, computer assistants and LD typists will also be made in a new court temporarily.
Post two office officers will also be made while in each of these courts.
New post: The cabinet also decided to make a post needed for the functioning of a fishery station in Alappuzha, Ponnani, Azheekode (Thrissur) and Kasargod.
This includes one post of each fisheries assistant director, assistant to fisheries extension officers, fisheries officers, clerks and class-2 office officers and three positions of each fisheries guard.
The cabinet also sanctioned the appointment of casual sweepers in each station based on the contract through employment exchange.
Minister of Fisheries Saji Cherian said that the fishery station function would greatly help fishermen in these places.
Land Sanctions: Cabinet decided to sanction 70 cents of land for the municipality of Palakkad to establish a waste treatment plant.
This land will be from 50 hectares which was initially approved to establish medical colleges, Palakkad.
The land will be submitted to the local government department in the inter-departmental land transfer model.
Appointment: The Cabinet has decided to appoint K Ajit Kumar as the Petitioner of the Government and the Public Prosecutor for Kannur Regency.
