Berlin: The share of Covid-19 cases caused by a more transmitted Delta variant from Coronavirus more than doubled in Germany in a week and tend to get more traction for other variants, said the Public Health Agency Robert Koch Institute on Monday.

Prime Minister Bavaria Markus Soeder told reporters earlier on Monday that he hoped the Delta variant to become the dominant virus tension in Germany in the summer.
Cases caused by variants have also soared in several other countries.
“Ignoring the Delta variant will be a serious mistake,” Soeder warned, adding that no one had to think the problem related to more contagious variants would only leave.
Soeder urged residents to get vaccinations because this will offer the best protection against Coronavirus.
In Germany, approximately 54% of the population has received the first jab and about 35% fully vaccinated.
Health officials said the spread of disease can be slowed down and the number of cases, hospitalization and death Covid-19 decreases if the high percentage of the population will be vaccinated.
