Chandigarh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday confirmed that the center gave a priority to the agricultural sector to ensure that the income of double farmers and cultivation costs was reduced.
Overcoming his first rally for punjab bound-bound, which he did virtually for the segment of the Ludhiana and Fatehgarh Sahib, he said that state agriculture always lent strength to the country.
“The central government gives priority to the agricultural sector so that their double farmer’s income and their cultivation costs are reduced,” Modi said.

He said these clothes did not have a road map to issue farmers from debt or to improve soil health.
Punjab farmers need modern facilities from plants to sow to sell their products.
They need modern cold storage, food gardens, and food processing industries, and better connectivity to export their products, the prime minister is underlined.
“The government of our double machine will work at a fast speed in these areas,” he said.
“For the welfare of small farmers, our government continues to take steps.
The recent example is fertilizer.
Last year, for phosphate and potasic fertilizer (P & K), our government increases subsidies by almost Rs 45,000 Crore.” For urea we increase subsidies with almost Rs 35,000 Crore.
In this budget too, for fertilizer subsidies, we have maintained the provisions of the amount of money, “he said.
Modi also said that for the first time, farmers received payment of minimum support prices (MSP) directly to their bank account in Punjab.
Drawing comparisons between his government and upa Led by the previous congress, he said before the Government of NDA in 2014, Payjab Farmers received almost Rs 1 Lakh Crore as Paddy MSP, while for seven years the central government today, they got almost.

Under ‘one district one product’, the Government NDA will develop industrial centers like this,” he said.
The Ludhiana textile industry needs to be given encouragement and the center has begun the incentive scheme related to production for the textile sector, he added.
In particular, this scheme aims to improve domestic manufacturing and export.
When the government will be formed here, the scheme will be implemented that will take punjab to new heights and take it on the development path, Modi added.
