Vadodara: If the official record is an indication, the city is close to the coverage of 100% of the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
But data seems far from the number of adults in the city if someone considers the voter list.
The source at Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) said that according to the official estimate handed over to them by the state government for vaccination before the process began, 13.15,477 people qualified for Jab.
But the latest data voters for civil polls revealed that there were 14,46,212 voters for VMC polls.
Going by official data, 97.62% of the qualified population has been vaccinated with one dose and 50.33% has obtained both shots.
But according to the voter list, 88.79% of people have taken the first JAD and 45.78% have taken both shots.
However, these numbers are seen as estimates and not the right number by officials.
Sources say that selection rolls and people’s data are eligible for vaccines withdrawn at different times.
They then said that in areas added to the VMC limit before the poll, there were many who took vaccines at the Primary Health Center (PHC) of the Panchayat district.
Their data is not included in the VMC number even if they are now city corporate voters.
With someone allowed to take a vaccine in the midst of wherever, many who live within the boundaries of VMC take the vaccine in the Panchayat PhCs district while in a hurry there is less.
At the other end, because the PHC does not provide a vaccine to people between the age of 18-44 years, many rural residents of this age group come to the VMC health center to get vaccination.
The VMC Medical Officer (Health) Dr.
Devesh Patel said that it was difficult to arrive at the number of personsums who qualified.
“Some differences will still exist, but it is the fact that vaccination has developed well,” he said.
