Rajkot: The coffee table book that describes the improvement of the socio-economy of the Kutchi person launched by the Head of the Bhupendra Patel Minister in Gandhinagar recently.
This book is prepared by Fokia (Federation of Kikch Industries Association) and the Kutch District Administration.
It illustrates how the industry in Kutch focuses on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects that handle the ancient problems of Kutch such as the water crisis, building infrastructure such as schools, the safety of animal feed and agriculture.
The industry also helps Fisherfolks with seaweed cultural projects to give them alternative livelihoods.
The Kutch royal area has emerged as the main industrial district after the 2001 earthquake.
Industrialization has played a major role in the development of the district.
CSR is mandatory for companies to contribute to the development of various social sectors and the prospects of livelihoods in the district.
