Thiruvananthapuram: Moving as Rejig Main Organization in the State BJP Unit After the victory in the recent assembly poll was held, the State President of the K of Surendran, on Tuesday, fired five district presidents and made several cosmetics changes in the State Committee.
Kasaragod party president, Wayanad, Palakkad, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta were released from their seats.
Following training throughout the state by parties to identify organizational problems that damage the party’s prospects in the latest assembly elections, changes in certain organizations are widely expected.
Changes, although not drastically, reaffirmed BJP’s national leadership trust in Surdendran.
The President of the New District is VA Sooraj (Pathanamthitta), G Lijin Lal (Kottayam), KM Hariandas (Palakkad), KP Madhu (Wayanad) and Ravisha Thantri (Kasaragod).
As part of Shuffle, Party spokesman B Gopalakrishnan, former Sivankutty Party Secretary and P Raghunath was appointed as a new vice president.
Former President of Kasaragod K Sreekanth, former Congress leader Pandalam Prathapan who recently joined the party, former Treasurer of JR Padmakumar and Mahila Morcha leader Renu Suresh was appointed as the new state secretary.
Actor G Krishnakumar, G Raman Nair, G Gireaesan and MS Sampoorna have been nominated for the National Executive Party.
Meanwhile, KVS Haridas, Sandeep Vachaspati and TP Sindhumol were appointed as a new spokesperson.
Jayaraj Kaimal will be the Secretary of the New State Office.
The lower level reshuffle is also expected.
All mandal committees will be frozen and there will be new efforts to ensure discipline in the party, said sources close to Surdendran.
The central leadership, they said, had provided a surendran mandate to ensure strict discipline in the state unit.
