Bhubaneswar: The state can see the peak of infection in the third wave that is taking place earlier than projected the second week of February, if the rate of case everyday is now calculated.
With many Metro who have seen a decrease in gradual infection, experts say the third wave impact here is also likely to fail at the end of this month.
Both the State Health Department and the Authority of the Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) said they had observed Mari-up at the virus growth rate.
“With the trend of the last few days, it can be concluded that Odisha can witness the peak before the end of January because infection has swept almost all populations that switch to high transmission.
As a result, the decline will be faster than expected and as sharp as the surge,” said Ajay Parida, Director Ils here, said.
On Monday, the state added 10,489 new infections from the 70,117 samples tested, thus registering 14.95 peponyitives.
Niranjan Mishra, Director of Public Health, said, “The country is no longer staring at the dangerous situation.
There is a prediction of Odisha about its peak in the second week of February.
But we have noticed a faster drop rate even though our testing number has not been revealed.
However, we still need to be vigilant .
Sunday to come will be very important.
“experts say having a slow and steady infection, expect a faster decline than had been projected to be a wrong calculation.
“We have 75,000 active cases, but only 1200 in hospitals.
At that amount, the situation is not worrying.
When the infection rate disappears, active cases will also fall sharply and will be hospitalized because most cases show mild symptoms,” Mishra explain.
Even tribal districts have reported more than 100 cases every day, the indication that the virus has expanded.
Tribal districts such as Nuabada, Coraput, Ladies, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and Rayagada are low in the number of infections when the third wave raises his head.
Hotspot – Sundargarh and Khurda – together reported nearly 4,500 cases from Tally Monday, while Cuttack added 786 new cases.
The government confirmed three Covid fatality again who took the dead to 8,484.
