Vadodara: The couple who promised to double the senior citizen money by calculating Poland Streetlight in Por was arrested by the branch of the local crime of Vadodara rural police on Tuesday.
Police said that Sheikh Iqbal’s accusation and his wife Salma Sheikh were arrested on Tuesday when they planned to target others in POR.
In February, they had deceived retired bank employees.
The couple had asked the victim of the Ambalal Vankar to hand over the necklaces and golden money to them and count four street lights.
Vankar was told that when he returned, cash would double, and a gold necklace would turn into two gold necklaces.
Vankar did it when he was told but when he turned around, he did not find Iqbal and Salma.
Realizing that he had been cheated, Vankar filed a complaint of fraud.
The police said that they were looking for a duo, but their existence was unknown.
On Tuesday, during patrolling, the couple’s actions were found suspicious near the por so they were taken to be questioned.
Then they were arrested when they recognized their crime.
