New Delhi: A 26-year-old doctor was shot because it was alleged by an unknown man outside the RTR hospital here, police said on Tuesday.
Hospital resident doctors in Dwarka have been identified as hemant and are currently under treatment.
He was declared out of danger, they said.
On Monday night, doctors stood outside the hospital when unidentified attackers arrived in the car, shot him and escaped from the place, police said.
Although the local residents and hospital guards tried to stop the defendant, they drove immediately after the incident, police said.
Persibons were suspected of being the reason behind the incident, police said, added that all corners were being seen as to ensure the right cause of the shooting.
CCTV camera footage installed inside and outside where the hospital was scanned to identify the suspect, police said.
The injured doctor statement would be recorded as soon as he was declared suitable, they said.
There was no arrest made so far and the defendant escaped, police said.
