The Dutch Embassy praised 15 women for their contribution to the community

Ranchi: Fifteen women from Jharkhand have been chosen as ‘strong women in India’ by the Dutch Embassy of their services to people in need during a pandemic.
The announcement was made during the webinar which was attended by the Deputy Head of the Dutch mission, Anneke Ademe and the Secretary of State for the construction of the countryside, Manish Ranjan on Wednesday night.
Most of the elected women have lost their jobs during a pandemic but they change their difficulties into the opportunity to distribute masks, sanitation pads and food granules in various districts.
Chuman Kumari who was twenty years old used to work as a waiter in Delhi when the pandemic hit.
He was forced to return home after losing a job.
However, he contacted non-governmental organizations, Bal Kalyan Sangh.
Kumari also provided services for the distribution of important ingredients among families in need in Khunti Regency.
He said, “I am very happy that my efforts are recognized and given.” A group of 30 girls received training as a security guard in December 2020 where the majority had returned to the state after losing a job.
Most of them are in a much better condition and have secured work in various private and public organizations, he added.
Rasanti Kaschap was twenty-six-year-old, who was saved from trading a few years ago, deployed as a security guard at a government school.
He also lost his job during a pandemic but took advantage of the time to serve families who face trade opportunities, child labor and child marriages.
Girls have distributed sanitation pads, dry rations and masks among more than 2,600 families in need in Khunti, Koderma, Ranchi and East Singhbhum Regency under the banner of BKS.
Deputy Head of the Embassy also said that BKS played an important role in preventing the trade of women from Jharkhand.
Embassies also register BKS among the six best organizations for prevention of human trafficking.
