Brussels: The European Union has reached the target of sending coronavirus vaccine which is sufficient to cover 70 percent of the adult population, UE Ursula Commission President Von Der Leyen said Saturday.

All but J & J Jab need two doses to achieve full efficacy, and the EU is home to an estimated 366 million adults.
“This weekend, we send enough vaccines to member countries to pay completely at least 70 percent of the adult population this month.
Almost tomorrow, around 500 million doses will be distributed to all European regions,” Von Der Leyen said.
“Covid 19 hasn’t been defeated.
But we are ready to continue to supply vaccines also for new variants.
Now member countries must do everything they can to ensure that vaccination moves forward.” Will we all be safe.
