Brussels: The European Commission said on Tuesday it would make sense for the United States to allow travel by people who were vaccinated with AstraZeneca shots in Europe.
On Monday the White House said it would raise a limit that made the European Union residents from traveling to the United States starting in November.
It is not clear which vaccine will be accepted by the US authorities.
“We believe the AstraZeneca vaccine is safe,” The UE Commission spokesman told a press conference.
“From our point of view, it will obviously make sense for people who have been vaccinated astrazeneca to be able to travel,” said the spokesman, noted that this was a decision for US authorities.
