New Delhi: When the trial continued in the cases of Northeast Delhi riots, with evidence of prosecution recorded, a city court has again questioned the police for failing to investigate two accused of being a witness in his statement.
The court recorded in the order that one of the witnesses of prosecution had stated around two people accused of other but no investigation of them had been carried out in this case.
“Investigation officer (IO) was faced with this position.
He did not have the answer to the same thing,” said the additional session of Vinod Yadav in order.
An explanation was sought from DCP (northeast), after the letter submitted by the police the following day searched for more time to submit a report.
The Sho Police Office from Gokalpuri also filed that there was not in a police file that could even determine a long distance investigation due to alleged two accused people carried out in this matter.
The court noted that IO was not in a position to answer why one complaint was the basis for registration of two firs.
It is said that the complaint can form the basis of two different firms is the question needed to be answered by prosecution.
This case was related to alleged property vandalism during communal violence in February last year.
