Palanpur: A father of two daughters was arrested for allegedly raping a 11-year-old girl who lived in her neighborhood in an Idar Taluka village in Sabarkantha on Monday night.
Police arrested Kanti Manat, from Ganthiol Village, from Ganthiol Village, from Ganthiol ,, from Ganthiol Village about 12 km from the city of Idar.
The defense was hiding there after committing a crime, the police said was charged for kidnapping and rape under the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) and under various parts of children’s protection from sexual violations (Pocso) acted.
According to the police, the incident was revealed on Monday when someone told the police about the lost 11-year-old girl.
“When we arrived in the village, we found the girl crying outside her home.
After asking, the girl revealed that her neighbor next to Manat she lured her with chocolate and cellphone,” police said.
The police first took the girl under a small bridge and raped it.
Even though the girl in pain, the defendant took her to the agriculture side by side and raped her again, added the police.
Police Inspector Ja Rathwa said when his mother asked with Manat’s wife, he told him that the girl went to the market with her husband going to the market.
Based on the girl’s statement, the police traced Manat and arrested him on Monday night.
Rathwa said that the girl was hospitalized for care and will undergo a medical test there.
