Guwahati: At 1:30 a.m.
on Friday, when Delhi-Kamakhya’s letter (Brahmaputra) specifically entered Kamakhya station, he wrote history by being the first passenger train to Assam and the Northeast flowed completely on electrical traction.
It marks important steps towards green transportation after the electrification of all NFR tracks, including branch lines, is approved for 100% electrification in the 2017-18 budget.
On Thursday, NF Railway run the first parcel train with electrical traction to Kamakhya station.
The head of the Pro Guneet Kaur train stated that in return, Kamakhya-Delhi (Brahmaputra) (Brahmaputra) left for Delhi from Kamakhya station at 2:30 a.m.
through electricity traction.
“The train became the first letter or express train to run electrical traction to Kamakhya Guwahati station after a successful train operation on electrical traction only the day before.
Thus, the NF train starts a new era,” Kaur said.
Until now, the train with an electric locomotive comes from Katihar and Malda to the new Coochbehar, where Loco electricity is released from the train and diesel locomotives attached to the trips to the northeast.
“Now with the completion of the train electrification work and commissioning part to Kamakhya, this train will come directly to Kamakhya without a change of traction.
Thus, there will be direct connectivity from New Delhi to Kamakhya on electrical traction without change.
Enroute locomotive,” added Kaur.
