Vadodara: The fire at the car of former Minister of State for Housing and Urban Narmada Yogesh Patel has turned out to be an act of arson.
Previously believed that a short circuit may cause fire.
Fire was reported in the early hours on Thursday.
The driver Patel Gaurang Patel, however, filed a complaint with arson after CCTV footage from the area revealed that the man had been pulverized.
Police and firefighters rushed to the scene and dousing the flames, but not before extensive damage is done to the car.
Because nothing is visible around the car, it is believed that the fire was going to happen by accident.
CCTV footage collected by Raopura police, however, revealed that the man had approached the car at 2:42 am on Thursday.
He set fire to a car and drive around at 2:47 in the morning.

Investigations revealed that the man seen in the CCTV footage is Mohammedanis Daruwala.
