Vadodara / Anand: Local Crime Branch (LCB) in Anand arrested three people from gangs allegedly involved in car theft throughout the state.
Sleuth LCB has confiscated 12 cars stolen by gangs from Anand, Kheda, Ahmedabad and Vadodara.
Most of the cars suspected of stealing are old hatchback models and sedans.
Hood – Taufiqali Saiyed and Soebsha Diwan – The two residents of Hadgud village, located on the outskirts of Anand – were arrested by a hatchback that they recently stolen.
LCB Sleuggers have received a tip-off that the duo tried to sell stolen hatchback at Railway Overbridge near Samarkha Chowkdi in Anand.
The police said that while the duo was involved in theft of cars, stolen cars sold by one Mohsin Patel, a resident of the Bazaar Bazaar Godhra.
Patel was also arrested.
Police also searched for other accusations identified as Bhaylu alias Darbar, who were also involved in car theft.
The defendant had claimed theft of the car from Borsad, Nadiad, Vansol, Ahmedabad, Mehmedabad, a resort located near Vadodara’s Dumad Chowkdi, a sports showroom in Sevasi-Khanpur Road in Vadodara.
“Taufiqali is involved in two-wheeled and four-wheeled theft for the past 6-7 years.
He uses a duplicate key to open a car.
Most of the accused cars have been stolen from the parking lot, hotels, party plots, wedding or temple places,” said a person Official.
The defendant has a registered violation of them in many districts.
