Jaipur: The two covid victims in the state on Monday are elderly and have comorbidities.
One of them was a 75-year-old man from Churu and the other was a 80-year-old woman in Rajsamand.
The hospital where they underwent treatment said they were fully vaccinated.
The Ministry of Health is carrying out a genome sequencing to identify the Covid variant, which causes both mortality.
“The 75-year-old child was fully vaccinated but suffered comorbidity.
He suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, he also developed the syndrome of acute respiratory disorders and secondary bacterial infections which lead to the failure of his organs,” said Dr.
Ajit Singh, Supervisor, Ruhs Hospital.
Churu’s Ministry of Health officials said the 75-year-old had a history of travel.
“He has a history of travel when he visits Kolkata recently,” said Dr.
Manoj Kumar Sharma, Head of Medical Health Officer, Churu.
The 80-year-old woman in Rajsamand was hospitalized three days ago with bilateral pneumonia.
He underwent a hospital treatment but despite a doctor’s effort, he died on Monday.
“He was diagnosed with Covid in the morning and died at night.
The day after his receipt, we did a Covid test, but he tested negative.
Because the report showed a recurring test, we did it again where he tested positive,” said Dr.
Lalit Purohit, The main medical officer, Rajsamand District Hospital.
Dr Pureohit said, “The woman was completely vaccinated against Covid-19 because she had received both doses.” Rajsamand’s medical health worker, Dr.
Prakash Sharma said, “We have sent the samples to the sequencing of the genome to find out the variant because he died.
The woman underwent treatment at the District Hospital ICU but he died.” Since July 31, the country has reported four Covid deaths.
And from them, two were reported on Monday.
