Berlin: Union who represents many train drivers at the German national railroad operator calling members out on a two-day attack on Monday, the second round of walkouts in bitter disputes with the company.
Claus Weselsky, head of GDL Union, said the drivers of the passenger train would attack from 2 pages Monday to 2 Wednesday morning.
The train driver items will start their strike on Saturday afternoon.
Walkout followed the two-day attack last week which brought most of the long-range train system and commuting to traffic jams.
The Deutsche Bahn railroad operator “so far showed signs of succumbing to the payment dispute it himself,” Weselsky said at a press conference on Friday.
Union’s demands include a salary increase of 3.2% and one time “Coronavirus bonus” of 600 euros ($ 700).
GDL contradicts Deutsche Bahn, among others, about when the increase must occur and during the period what the wage agreement must be closed.
Deutsche Bahn owned by the state has lost billions since the commencement of Pandemi Coronavirus.
In addition, the flood recently destroyed or damaged various train tracks.
GDL Critics Weselsky argues that union competition is an important factor in disputes.
GDL, which has traditionally concentrated on train drivers, competing with greater EVG union rivals to represent a wider range of train workers.
Private railroad operators, which in Germany operate several regional services and some distance, are not affected by strikes.
Weselsky said GDL had been careful not to disturb the weekend trip but “we will no longer be able to guarantee this in the future.”
