Chennai: The names of more than 79,000 people in Kandamangalam Village in the Villupuram district are now added to the registry population of the country’s population along with details of at least 14 medical conditions played.
Unique Health Id (UHID), assigned to everyone, will help them access better medical services and provide a database government to prioritize health care, Minister of Health MA Subramanian.
On Thursday, after reviewing work, he said more than 150 health workers filtered people with the help of four private software companies.
“This is a pilot program launched two months ago.
We will increase the consortium to at least 30 companies so we can enter all citizens in the population health registry,” he said.
Nearly 6.5 crores throughout the country have now been assigned uhid.
Names, gender, age, and detailed contact residents are taken from the family database, CM health insurance schemes and other applicants are managed by the state E-Governance Agency.
“In June, we will launch the project.
After completion, the health details of each individual will be available.
The right to access information will be given to empaneled health care providers including doctors and hospitals,” said Health Officer.
Doctors and hospitals can make changes to health details with permission from individuals and the government.
While digital notes will help patients seek treatment at any hospital, the state will have denominators for all diseases and become driving forces for all policy decisions.
Unique ID will also be the backbone for the scheme of ‘thedi maruthum’ schemes that provide comprehensive and holistic health care for non-contagious diseases in front of the door of people.
With medical details getting digitized, nurses don’t need to bring a large register to make checks on vaccination, tests, or drug delivery.
“We can integrate and explore some health schemes.
For example, we can send reminders to vaccinating children to parents, or blood tests to adults, or for annual breast cancer screening to women,” Minister of Health said.
