Islamabad: The Taliban dissolves two Afghan Election Commission and the State Ministry for Peace and Parliament, said an official on Sunday.
Bilal Karimi, Deputy Spokesperson for the Taliban government managed by Afghanistan, said the Independent Election Commission of the State and the Election Complaints Commission had been dissolved.
He called them “an unnecessary institute for the current situation in Afghanistan.” He said if there was a need for commissions in the future, the Taliban government could revive them.
The international community is waiting before expanding formal recognition to the new Afghan ruler.
They are alert, the Taliban can impose a hard regime like when they come to power 20 years ago – regardless of their guarantee contradictory.
Both election commissions are mandated to manage and oversee all types of elections in this country, including the election of the presidential council, parliamentary and province.
Karimi said the Taliban also dissolved the ministry for peace and the Ministry of Parliament.
He said that they were unnecessary ministries in the current government structure.
The Taliban previously closed the former ministry of women’s affairs.
