New Delhi: Trade Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam said on Saturday that the central government will soon make a dedicated body to promote exports from India that will have footprints and Indian mission.
Overcoming the annual Convention of FICCI and the 94rd GMS, Subrahmanyam said the government was working on “trade ready for the future”.
“It will work on a number of things.
First and foremost, there will be separate export promotion wings with traces in all Indian missions abroad and in every state of India,” he said.
According to subrahmananyam, the department of bilateral and multilateral involvement will be formed under Wing trade negotiations.
“Today is bilateral trade, and the government is negotiating a free trade agreement with several countries such as UAE, Australia, the United States, EU, which will be completed next year.
This will cover many other aspects such as public procurement, intellectual property, social development, etc., “he said.
He said market intelligence would also be arranged throughout the state which would be a big boon for the industry in increasing their exports.
In addition, the ministry works on the Indian brand strategy under a comprehensive trade promotion objectives throughout the world.
VR Sharma, Joint Chair, FICCI Steel Committee, and Implementing Director, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd, share various issues related to export on behalf of the industry.
This includes reducing operating costs (such as for utilities, transportation, processing costs), export credit, and guarantees in India which remain expensive.
