Mysuru: The state government has sent a proposal to the center seeking help to build a medical park in the Kochanahalli industrial area near Nanjanagud from the MySore district.
With extensive land available in industrial estates developed by the Kiadb, people in the industry feel the park, if given, can further develop the Mysuru-Nanjian-Chamarajanagar industrial corridor.
According to the reply equipped by the Minister of Chemistry and Fertilizer Union Mansukh Mandaviya with the question raised by Shivamogga MP by Raghavendra in the Sabha Lok Session which was recently concluded, the Government Government was implementing a ‘garden medical device’ scheme provided for one-time grant- In-Aid from Rs 100 Crore Per Park.
This requires the creation of general infrastructure facilities in four selected parks, which will be developed by the state government.
The total financial expenditure scheme is Rs 400 Crore.
According to officials from the State and Industrial Trade Department, Kiadb has taken this project.
However, the announcement was not exciting city industrialists because they were afraid of projects to end like other projects that always stay on paper.
Vishwaprasad Alva, founder and MD Skanray Technologies, said the government had to implement a project that was previously announced, instead of taking a new one.
“I have raised this problem on many platforms.
There is no meaning in announcing new projects without applying that has been announced.
ESDM clusters, announced in 2013, have not been implemented in full scale,” he said.
Suresh Kumar Jain, Secretary General of the Small and Medium Micro Business Council, also echoed similar opinions.
“If the new park project is implemented, it will be good for industrial activities in this district.
However, many projects remain only on paper, and this one should not add to the list,” he said.
