MySuru: Interior Minister Araga Jnanendra on Tuesday said the state government was arguing that the prohibition of religious conversion laws that violated the law to prevent religious repentance in the state.
Addressing press meetings at Jaladarshini Guest House, Jnanendra said during the assembly session, MLA had expressed his sadness over his mother repented to another religion while the other MLA claimed that religious repentance was rampant in his own village.
“To prevent religious repentance, it has become unavoidable for the government to bring the law,” he said.
Jnanendra said he traveled around the country to increase the morale of the police and made a crime-free carnataka.
“We have given full power to police officers to take action against illegal centers running online games, hookah bars and gambling in MySuru District.
I have also directed police officers to patrol at night to examine crime,” he said.
The police have been directed to check the details of foreign citizens who surpass the city even after the end of the visa, and take steps to send them back to their country.
