Nagpur: The Governor’s Office of Maharashtra has realized the request for eight years seeking RS51 crore funds for rebuilding and tourism status to Tekdi Ganesh Temple, one of the most cities places.
The Presidential Secretary of Governor Santosh Kumar has sent a letter to the minister of cultural affairs Amit Deshmukh because it takes the initiative needed in the Memorandum related to the Acticist Bhushan Dadwe.
Dadwe memorandum copies have also been sent to the minister.
On October 3, Dadwe met the Governor of Bhagat Singh Koshyari and explained the importance of Ganesh Tekdi Temple in the history of the city.
He also told the governor that a large number of people visited and worshiped in the temple every day.
He also spoke in detail about the inconvenience faced by worshipers.
Dadwe in a press release said that the government must provide fund sanctions and give tourism to the temple as soon as possible.
“I met a former head of minister in this case as much as time.
Also, I sent a letter to CM today and other ministers.
I have demanded this since January 30, 2013, but nothing is awesome,” he said.
The Supervisory Board has rebuilt the temple but there is no work done to develop facilities for worshipers.
There are no basic parking facilities.
The entrance of the temple and narrow road to the Nagpur train station is a traffic barrier.
Previously, the government had approved funds for the rebuilding of the Koradi Temple, DeeShabhoomi, Tajbagh etc.
