Prasagraj: The Chief of the 35-year-old Government Train (GRP) managed to commit suicide allegedly by shooting himself with his service weapon at the Grp Prayagraj Police Line toilet under the limits of the Khuldabad police station on Monday morning.
He posted on GRP Kanpur and came to DAAGRAJ on the assignment of escort on the ajmer-seaclah express train.
There are no suicide records found from him.
The reason behind the deceased takes extreme steps is still unknown.
The body was sent for Post Mortem, police said.
The incident, according to the police, took place around 9:40 when several police officers at the GRP police line heard two shots and ran to the toilet.
When reaching out there, they saw the police chief, identified as Chintamani Yadav, a resident of Manda in Prayagraj, lying in a pool of blood.
They rushed to the hospital where the doctors claimed to die.
Deputy SP (GRP) Amit Srivastava said, “Head of the dead head, posted at GRP Kanpur, came to Prayagraj on Sunday when he was assigned the assignment of escort on the express train of Ajmer-Seaclah.
He must return to Kanpur on Monday with escort duties On the same train.
He lives in the number two barracks from the Grp Prayagraj police line.

The report said the police at the Grp Police Line was shocked when they heard two shots and saw the police chief in critical condition.
They arranged the vehicle to take the police who were injured by officials to the hospital.
A bullet reportedly penetrated the deceased’s head.
After receiving information, the Senior Grp Police Authority also rushed to the place and conducted an investigation.
